These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of MyGeekList (the "Site"). By creating an account, signing in as a guest, or otherwise using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site. See also our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how it's used.
MyGeekList is not directed at children under 13, and you must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the Site.
You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your password confidential. Guest accounts are temporary and may be limited or removed at any time. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
MyGeekList is a small, hobby-scale site. Please don't:
You keep ownership of the notes, tags, and lists you create. By adding them to the Site, you give us permission to store and display that content back to you, and — where a feature is explicitly designed to do so (for example, aggregated community rankings across all users' lists) — to use it in combined, aggregate form with other users' data. We won't otherwise share your individual notes with other users.
Film, cast, and crew information is supplied by The Movie Database (TMDb), and streaming availability data is supplied by JustWatch. MyGeekList uses the TMDb API and JustWatch data but is not endorsed or certified by either. Full attribution is available from the "Film data from TMDb" link at the bottom of the Main page. We don't control this third-party data and can't guarantee it's complete, accurate, or up to date.
The Site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the Site will be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that film/streaming data will be accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyGeekList and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site. The Site is offered free of charge on a best-effort basis.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site, including removing content, if we believe you've violated these Terms or used the Site in a way that could harm it or other users. You can stop using the Site, or ask us to delete your account, at any time — see our Privacy Policy for how to request deletion.
If these Terms change, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
